As of today 2/25/13, I've lost 43 pounds and successfully kept off 40 of those :) In other words, I'm tightening up my "maintenance" efforts to get rid of those 3. Still Fast-5ing -- for so MANY reasons!
Since 2/6/12 I've been following the Fast-5 plan of eating. I eat during a 5 hour "window" and fast the other 19. Here is one article about lab testing (on mice) that supports some of the thought behind the plan I'm following. As of 5/23/12, I've lost over about 23 pounds w/o feeling hungry and without strictly limiting my food choices (though I try to make relatively healthy choices). rlg

Maia - Secret to long life
Breakfast NOT the most important meal....
Here
- Keep it simple (or at least suitable to your personal schedule & style)
- Don't eat after 6:00 p.m.
- Journal daily
1. Daily quiet time through study and prayer.
2. Waiting for stomach hunger.
3. Not eating beyond comfortable.
4. Drinking 8 - 10 glasses of water each day.
5. Exercising 3 - 5 times per week.
6. Taking small bites and eating slowly.
7. Accomplishing a reasonable "To Do" list each day.
When I successfully lost 41 lbs. a couple of years ago I ate 6 small meals/snacks a day. That Grazing helped me keep my Glycemic Index steady, I did all the Action Points you listed too. I wish I could do the Fasting Plan because it sounds so sensible, but with having Hypoglycemia, if I were to Fast for 16 hours straight I'd probably be in trouble since my sugar level would surely plunge dangerously low.
