My Struggle...His Power

See those back two legs? (Well, I guess the chair is blocking the view of the other one.) That's one of the tasks I listed yesterday that was accomplished. That wasn't so HARD now! Yesterday--and already THIS morning--I've experienced the truth of Colossians 1:29: "To this end I labor, struggling with all HIS energy, which so powerfully works in me."

Some notes I copied in my journal from The Red Sea Rules...

Sometimes plodding is better than plotting.
We can become paralyzed by procrastination! (I put a big red asterisk by this one.)

The book is on hold at my library and I can't wait to read it. The procrastination quote is wonderful...it deserves a large red asterisk. Some days I feel like I'm slogging through quicksand...

I love these quotes Rebecca. They apply to me often and I would do well to remember them. The first one is my favourite at this time.

Rebecca's note: I have trouble with "deserve". I want to care for my body because God Himself cares for it! Do I "deserve" health? No, in light of my sinful inclinations and the fall of mankind, health is a gift. A GRACE-gift directly from the hand of God--a gift to be handled thankfully and thoughtfully.
