Just for the record....after getting home from an errand this afternoon, a friend called to say she was going to walk - OUTSIDE! Did I want to meet her and walk, too?
I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to cold weather, but I bundled up the best I knew how and we walked quite briskly for 30 minutes. Next time I'll wear a hat or earmuffs! I thought my white scarf wrapped several times around my neck would keep me warm - but not so much.
I'm very happy with my indoor routine. Maybe when the sun is out and the temperatures just a bit higher, I'll be a little more enthusiastic about outside exercise again. It WAS nice to spend time with my friend, though.
Bravo for you!
ReplyDeleteHope everything has "thawed out" by now...I mean toes and fingers. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I can only walk outside if I walk on the street Rebecca and even they are not ploughed properly......we have so much snow and haven't had sun for such a long time but it has warmed up. I am back at Curves and loving it. Stay warm my friend........:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteGod bless your brave efforts sweetie.
ReplyDeleteBERNIE, Stay with Curves! It's much warmer - and safer!
ReplyDeleteJESS, Just think! Soon you'll be able to get out and freeze, too!
Good for you Rebecca! I scolled down and read some of your entries. I'm doing the same thing! It is ONE DAY AT A TIME of being consisten, isn't it? I am drinking LOTS of water, etc. etc. and also trying to make the calories of the day count, more fiber, protein, and red and green and healthy! It's a lifelong struggle, but I'm with you!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sonja
I know it's not easy getting outside when it's cold... but I bet you were glad you did it once you were done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place. I agree with you about the "lace" on the mantle.... it has been removed.
Many blessings to you dear friend.
SONJA, Sounds like you've discovered the "secret" -- daily consistency. God's blessings on your life and adventure in health.
