RETORK was my verification word when I commented on Valerie's post this morning. That's what I'll be doing today, and tomorrow, and the next day....
Fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, 6-8 glasses of water, and a 30 minute walk are my minimum RETORKING tools. What are yours?
Hubby and I went for a 20+ minute walk in a lovely park today...Yipee! So enjoying my ease in movement and very grateful that I could do all the walking required at the national convention I attended last week. =)
ReplyDeleteSince my multiple joint surgeries, I NEVER take for granted the gift of walking!
Now, I have to add more fresh vegetables and eliminate the carbs!!!
Thanks for giving me a forum to plan and strategize! Blessings to you sweet friend.
Less bread....more fruits and veggies....and continuing to walk each day. Also...I bought a work-out DVD that I'm hoping to start on next week...if it doesn't kill me, I'll let you know how it goes!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds great.
ReplyDeleteRetork for me is abstaining from bread, pasta, most grains and resolving to work out 6 x/weekly. "The climb" evolved into an elimination food plan of sorts where my intolerance for gluten (and experienced far-too-many symptoms for comfort upon consuming anything "wheat." Weight is easier to maintain when I recall the effects of excess pounds and arthritis.

Mn, too, Jean (Not the gluten thing as far as I know). I just try to think of all the good stuff I CAN have and think of them as positives instead of the bread and pasta that I have to (regretfully) pass up.
