We Planted Some More Seeds of Discipline

"Seeds of discipline produce a harvest of strength. Keep planting them daily."
After a Sunday dinner of roast, potatoes, carrots, mushroom and zucchini prepared in the crock pot, Husband and I walked a part of the New Haven trail. It follows the Maumee River, is scenic and paved. Thus I finished Week 3 having walked four rather than five times.

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction;p the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become wary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:7-9

  1. Oh, this is something I must work on too.
    But I'm obviously not ready.
I say all the time I must want to eat junk more and laze around more than I want to lose weight and be healthy, because I'm still not eating right and not exercising!
I have to get to a point where I want to be healthy more than I want to eat junk food, I'm not anywhere near there yet!

    Good for you!
    All the best,
    Eileen

  2. Way to go Rebecca, don't you feel better? I know I do and I'm not sure its because I have made my goal weight or if I kept a promise to myself...Discipline, only took me 62 years to finally use some.......:-) Hugs

  3. Eileen, Your "ready" will come! Mine was a long time coming this time.

Bernie, I'm musing over your thought. I think "better" for me is because I finally kept a promise to myself! And your comment about discipline...."to finally USE some" - not "GET" some... I used to say I didn't HAVE it. But I just was not USING it. Hmmmmm. That's a subject for another post!
