Simple Breakfasts, Anyone?

For me this morning it was half a banana (my husband slices the other half on his Shredded Wheat cereal).  I sliced mine in half longways and spread each half with a little bit of peanut butter.  That, and a couple of mugs of 1/2 decaf & 1/2 regular dark roast coffee was MY breakfast.  What was yours?

I found Jennifer Causey's blog this week.  I think you'd enjoy seeing her simple but grandly varied breakfasts!  The picture is one example.  Check it out at Simply Breakfast - the art of breakfast.  Notice the various mugs/coffee cups from post to post. I tend to use the same one every day.  It "fits" me quite nicely.

  1. I like simple breakfasts--unless someone else is cooking! Today I had a simple breakfast--more so than usual because it's almost shopping day and we are low on some foods. I had two cups of hot tea, a half-cup of lowfat yogurt, and low-fat mozarella "string" cheese. Generally, I have a bowl of high-fiber cereal, a bowl of oatmeal, or an egg with toast.

  2. Hi Rebecca, I have the same breakfast as your husband but like you I use my favorite coffee mug every morning, it's one I picked up in Ireland last year, green with little sheep on it. It has a thin lip and I love it.....:-) Hugs

  5. I also have a favorite mug. My breakfast this morning was Fiber One cereal with a little ground flax seed and some walnuts. With milk, of course.
