It Isn't Pretty, But It's My Bicycle
It doesn't have any bells or whistles, and it is in need of a paint job. (I'm open to suggestions of a new color!) It has a strange click when the wheels turn, but it gets me around Small Town, USA. We have new sidewalks with convenient curbing making it easy to navigate the short distance to our local post office. The small basket on my bike usually holds a day's mail. I enjoy biking short distances. I also walk a fairly brisk pace. In the past, I walked 30 minutes a day, 5 days out of 7. I need to return to that practice.

How about restoring it to it's pretty bright red color? I remember seeing on the Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry having a law against riding bicycles on the sidewalk. heehee!! ;D
ReplyDeleteWe vote for a green bike here at the smith house! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon and Amber for weighing in. Maybe red AND green for a Christmas motif?
ReplyDeleteI love your bicycle, I think red is a nice color for it.
ReplyDeleteYay for bikes with baskets. I always have to take a backpack or fannypack and had not thought about a basket for awhile. I will put one on my wishlist. I love riding bike with purpose--to mail a letter, or pick up one or two things at the grocery store. I like riding with a friend or to praise God on a beautiful day. I am in the mood now but it is raining. Maybe later . . .
ReplyDeleteI love it ~ just as it is... If you really have to repaint it, I'd recommend restoring it. :)
